About the Demo

Artist Statement

I have been drawing since childhood, an interest inspired by my artistic family members. My college art professor discouraged my realistic style, so instead of pursuing art, I  had a fulfilling 30-year career teaching Special Education. I rediscovered my love for drawing in 2016, and since then, my work has been featured in art exhibitions and a variety of venues throughout Brandon and Tampa.  I specialize in representational art, using colored pencils and pastels to capture details and textures. I find joy in combining my love of art with my love of teaching.  Currently, I teach art classes throughout the community.  My hope is that my art inspires curiosity and a deeper appreciation for colored pencils as a fine art medium.

I create representational art capturing details and textures with colored pencils and pastels. My goal is two-fold: to elevate colored pencils as a fine art medium and to share my knowledge by teaching art classes in the community.
