Artist Statement

Eileen is a visual storyteller and teacher, using all painting mediums, including oil, acrylic and pastel. Her preferred subjects are people and nature, often with an environmental message

She is an internationally known, award winning textile and mixed media artist. After receiving her BFA in art, she spent several years in southeast Asia, learning surface design techniques for fabric plus ancient and contemporary painting and printmaking techniques.

Teaching art to adults and children over the years has brought her great joy. Though her classes, she’s been able to share her love of art with countless enthusiastic students.
