About the Instructor:

Libit Jones is a Texas native who has called St. Petersburg home since 1995. She is a well known artist in the Tampa Bay area and a popular instructor. Her earliest memories are of drawing. Although she has dabbled in many art forms watercolor and water-media have captured her heart. Her’s is not the delicate watercolors many think of watercolor, but that of bold color mixtures. Libit’s
paintings often make people ask,”How did she do that.”

She is a Signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society, was its President in 2015 and a member of the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA). Libit teaches watercolor and experimental water-media, has been accepted into many prestigious shows and won numerous awards. Her paintings are owned by private collectors across the United States, Canada and England.

About the Workshop:

"WAIT! Before you totally dismiss this workshop, this technique has totally changed my mind about watercolor and yupo. I think it will change yours too."

Feeling  like you can use a challenge? A boost to your creativity? Some Inspiration? Trying something new can do that for you.

The idea of creating something without a preconceived idea can be scary but this technique is fun and you will soon forget your fears. We are creating backgrounds full of random pattern I call texture. We will create our image by removing paint with a damped or wet brush.
