2025 Bay Area Art Show Exhibition May 6-30
The BAY AREA ART SHOW 18 is a juried and judged fine art show sponsored by the Tampa Regional Artists held at the Old Hyde Park Art Center. This is an open competition and all artists are invited to submit their work for consideration. Bay Area exhibit dates are May 6 to May 30, 2025 and the reception will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Old Hyde Park Art Center.
Because this is a juried exhibit, all entries must be submitted in accordance with the prospectus by midnight March 10, 2025.
AWARDS
Over $2,000 in prizes! CASH AWARDS** WILL BE OFFERED FOR:
● BEST OF SHOW-$500
● MEDIA AWARDS – at $200 each for media such as Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture and Watercolor, to be determined by the number of entries.
● 2 AWARDS OF MERIT $100 each
ADDITIONAL PRIZES OF ART SUPPLIES & MERCHANDISE WILL ALSO BE AWARDED.
**Category prizes may be combined and award amounts reallocated dependent on entries.
2024 Ceramic Sculpture Biennial Exhibit Reception (Show Runs Thru December 28, 2024)
Every two years the sculpture group at Tampa Regional Artists presents their latest works in clay. The reception is always a festive event with refreshments and an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists. The exhibit will run through December 28, 204.

Call for Artists: 2024 Small Works
TRA is sponsoring a Small Works Exhibit with expanded entry opportunities for members. Please review the entry eligibility criteria carefully.
Number of entries — Maximum of 5 for members, 3 for non-members
Size —
For 2-dimension works — maximum framed size 14” x 17”
For 3-dimension works— 12” x12'“ x12”
All works must be original, no prints or reproductions, all 2-dimension works must be ready for hanging. Edges of unframed canvases must be finished and canvaswrapped.
All works must be pre-registered before June 25 using the entry buttons below. Jpegs must be submitted to the dropbox, and the images must be named using the convention LastName.FirstName.Title. dropbox link for small works

The BAY AREA ART SHOW 17 is a juried and judged fine art show sponsored by the Tampa Regional Artists held at the Old Hyde Park Art Center. This is an open competition and all artists are invited to submit their work for consideration. Bay Area exhibit dates are April 9 to May 3, 2024 and the reception will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Old Hyde Park Art Center.
JUROR
The JUROR will be Amanda Poss. Amanda Poss is the Gallery Director for Hillsborough Community College (2017-present), where she directs and implements visual arts programming across multiple HCC campuses. In addition to curating gallery exhibitions, Poss expanded access to the arts by instituting the college’s first public art program in 2018 (Grounds4Art@HCC) and by growing the Permanent Art Collection, which has tripled in size during her tenure. In 2019, she completed a Fulbright-Hays GPA program in Brazil focusing on representations of the Afro-Brazilian Diaspora in the arts. Poss teaches as an Adjunct Professor at HCC (2015-present) and serves as a Board Member for Tempus Projects in Tampa, FL (2020-present). She received her MA in Art History from the University of South Florida in 2015 specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art, and a BA from the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2011.

The exhibition will continue until TRA closes for the holidays December 16th. The reception is always a festive event with refreshments and an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists. This year the artists will be introduced themselves at 6:30 pm and will read a few lines that capture the spirit of their new work, revealing another aspect of the thinking behind their ideas.

Relax and take in some beautiful depictions and spirit of the animal kingdom. Fin, Fur and Feathers was judged by local artist John Brennan in Lutz Florida.
Faces and Figures Virtual Exhibition
Relax and take in some beautiful life drawing, portrait painting, and other media welcomed that celebrates the human form. Faces and Figures was judged by local artist Kerry Vosler, owner of Kerry Vosler Studio & Atelier and Vosler Young Artists’ Studio in Tampa, Florida.
